# Method:
- Set oven to 350°F and grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan. Line the pan with parchment paper for easy removal.
- Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add diced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Cook, stirring occasionally, until apples are soft and caramelized, about 5 to 7 minutes. Remove from heat and allow to cool.
- In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, eggs, cream soda, whole milk, and vanilla extract until fully blended.
- In another bowl, mix all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gently fold the dry mixture into the wet ingredients until just combined. Take care not to overmix.
- Carefully incorporate caramelized apples into the batter.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared loaf pan and spread evenly.
- In a small bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt. Add cold cubed butter and blend with a pastry blender or fork until a coarse crumb forms. Sprinkle topping evenly over the loaf batter.
- Bake for 50 to 55 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let loaf cool in the pan for 15 minutes; transfer to a wire rack. Drizzle with caramel sauce before serving.
